Blue Ant Media brand Love Nature has launched its free, ad-supported streaming channel (FAST) in Spain via smart TV video service Samsung TV Plus.
The channel is the first natural history brand available on Samsung TV Plus in Spain, according to Blue Ant, and provides 100 hours of free Love Nature content.
Among the series available at launch are Animal Empires (6 x 60 minutes), which showcases where herds, flocks and schools of wildlife travel for mating and survival purposes; Secrets of Wild Australia (7 x 60 minutes), which looks at the continent’s diverse array of animals; and Untamed Valley (3 x 60 minutes), set in the Luangwa Valley in Africa.
The deal with Samsung TV Plus was brokered by Julio Sobral, SVP, Latam & U.S. channel distribution, Love Nature.
Earlier this year, Love Nature launched as an ad-supported streaming offering on Univision-owned PrendeTV, a free streamer catering to Hispanic audiences in the U.S.
Blue Ant Media has previously inked deals with Samsung TV Plus for its FAST channels Love Nature in the U.S. and HauntTV and Crimetime in Canada. Love Nature’s linear and streaming channels are currently available in more than 135 countries.
“Partnering with Samsung TV Plus to launch Love Nature as a FAST channel is an important step in expanding our reach as a multi-platform channel brand in EMEA,” said Carlyn Staudt, global general manager, Love Nature, in a statement, adding that the company has seen “tremendous success for Love Nature on FAST and AVOD channels in the U.S. market.”
