M edia company Blue Ant Media has upped longtime executive Carlyn Staudt to the position of EVP, global channels and streaming.
Staudt (pictured), who previously served as GM of Blue Ant channel Love Nature, will now take on an expanded role at the Toronto-headquartered company that will see her leading Blue Ant’s portfolio of international channels, including Love Nature, Declassified, HauntTV, Total Crime, Homeful, Drag Race Universe, Love Pets and Love Drama.
The EVP will also pursue the continued growth of the company’s worldwide channel footprint across all platforms, including FAST, SVOD, AVOD and pay TV.
Staudt will continue to report to Jamie Schouela, president, global channels and media, and will now also report to Blue Ant co-founder and CEO Michael MacMillan as a key member of the senior leadership team.
In addition to her GM role for Love Nature, Staudt’s career at Blue Ant has seen her take on the head of commissioning post for all of the company’s streaming and linear pay TV channels in North America and internationally, as well as EVP of programming and development for Love Nature.
Prior to Blue Ant, she held positions at National Geographic, including SVP of global programming and managing director for National Geographic Channels International in Washington, and channel manager for Nat Geo Wild.
“With her sharp creative instincts and strategic thinking, I have no doubt that Carlyn and her team will take our growing portfolio of channels to platforms and audiences around the globe,” said Schouela in a statement.
