The Vancouver-based prodco is teaming with BroadbandTV and Hyperdrive Entertainment to bring the unscripted food series to screen.

priscilla presleyBig Time Decent Productions has gone into development with BroadbandTV (BBTV) and Hyperdrive Entertainment on an original series fronted by Priscilla Presley.

Dinner with Priscilla – created by two Vancouver companies, Big Time Decent’s Matt Shewchuk and René Brar and BBTV’s creative director Paul Telner, with L.A.-based Hyperdrive Entertainment’s Adam Opitz and Jean-Pierre LaClette – gives an intimate look at Presley’s world, her celebrity friends and the cuisine that is most important to her.

Priscilla Presley was married to Elvis Presley from 1967 to 1973 and also served as chairwoman of Elvis Presley Enterprises, which turned Graceland into one of the top tourist attractions in the U.S. Her acting credits include the Naked Gun franchise.

Big Time Decent, launched last year by producer and director Shewchuk, has produced series including Rust Valley Restorers (HISTORY/Netflix) and Backroad Truckers (HISTORY), and is also in development with an undisclosed Canadian broadcaster on a single-camera comedy called Foreign Affairs.

Paul Telner, creative director for BBTV, which became a publicly traded company last fall, said the series is part of BBTV’s strategy to expand its original content offerings by “finding unique ways to align our content with global brands and the audiences that are defining the digital age.”

Meanwhile, Hyperdrive Entertainment is currently in production on the unscripted series Before Hollywood, set to premiere on CuriosityStream later this year. The company is also in pre-production on the feature film Hammurabi’s Chair.
