Alibi Entertainment has tapped Aaron Champion and Heidi Schorn to lead development for its scripted and unscripted teams, respectively.
Champion was promoted to VP, development, scripted from director of development, scripted, and is based out of Alibi’s L.A. office. Schorn is now VP, development, unscripted and is based in Toronto. She was former director of development, unscripted.
Alibi’s lifestyle projects include Carnival Eats and Great Canadian Cookbook, as well as factual series The Secrets of the Pyramids. Among the scripted projects in development is the animated Zombie Pets and kids series Emma, M.D. The company has projects in development with Discovery and History in the U.S., as well as projects with WildBrain and Bell Media.
“Under Aaron’s leadership, our relatively new scripted division has seen incredible success in a few short years, with several projects in advanced development with Canadian and U.S. broadcasters and streamers,” said James Hyslop, Alibi president and executive producer, in a statement.
“Heidi has been a dynamic leader of our unscripted development team and has strengthened our portfolio in both factual and lifestyle genres. Under her guidance, the team has created an expansive slate based on a strategic creative approach and by leveraging key partnerships globally,” he added.
