OUTtv has acquired LaRue Entertainment’s The Amazing Gayl Pile for its linear channel and streaming service.
The LGBTQ channel picked up the rights to the web series’ first three seasons, making its linear debut in Canada today (July 16). The Amazing Gayl Pile will also be available to stream in Canada internationally on OUTtvGO, which is available in the U.S., South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
The Amazing Gayl Pile is created by Morgan Waters and Brooks Gray, who also write, direct and star in the series.
Four seasons of The Amazing Gayl Pile are currently available to stream on CBC Gem, with a fifth season set to debut in late summer, while the first three seasons are also available on Amazon Prime Video in the U.K., Japan and Germany.
“We couldn’t be happier to introduce Morgan Waters and Brooks Gray’s iconic series to a brand new audience,” said LaRue Entertainment co-presidents Andrew Ferguson and Matt King, in a statement.
This is the second digital Canadian series to hit OUTtv’s linear platform this year. The channel picked up She Said Films’ Running with Violet in May with plans to air it in the fall. The series is already available to stream on OUTtvGO.
