Maestracci upped to acquisitions VP at Quebecor Content

Her duties have expanded to include the international distribution of original content and formats developed by Quebecor Content and its partners.

In an effort to support Quebecor Content’s reach in world markets, Christine Maestracci has been upped to VP, acquisitions and international distribution.

Effective immediately, the former senior director of acquisitions will see her role expand to include the international distribution of original content and formats developed and created by Quebecor Content and its partners.

The executive with more than 20 years of experience in entertainment and digital media will continue to report to Yann Paquet, VP, strategy and international business, and oversee all content and format acquisitions for TVA Group’s platforms and Club illico.

“In recent years, Christine has played a key role in the success of Quebecor Content, TVA Group’s channels, and Club illico,” Paquet said in a press release unveiling the news. “Her leadership, experience, vision and knowledge of the international market will be major assets for our efforts to step up sales of our formats and content around the world.”

Prior to this, Maestracci joined Quebecor in 2003 and was named senior director of acquisitions at Quebecor Content in 2017. In addition to her role, she currently serves as chair of the board of FCTMN and Quebec’s WIFT chapter.

This news follows the recent creation of two new executive director roles at Quebecor Content to support the company’s increase in original content for Club illico, TVA Network and Quebecor’s specialty channels and digital platforms. Through the move, Johanne Ménard was promoted to executive director, variety and lifestyle and former Télé-Québec exec Nadège Pouyez was appointed as executive director, drama and documentary.
