The Banff World Media Festival (BANFF) has added PBS president and CEO Paula A. Kerger as a featured keynote speaker for its 2019 edition.
Kerger, who has headed up PBS for 14 years, will take part in the festival’s new Summit Series alongside previously announced keynote Jeffrey Katzenberg.
During her tenure with the public broadcaster, Kerger has overseen a number of digital initiatives at PBS, including the launch of the PBS KIDS 24/7 broadcast and streaming channel. She is responsible for 350 PBS member stations across the U.S. and, under her leadership, PBS has become the sixth most-watched network in the U.S.
BANFF’s Summit Series is a featured speaking track celebrating the festival’s 40th anniversary.
