Netflix has picked up North American streaming rights to season one of the hour-long docuseries A User’s Guide to Cheating Death.
Produced by Toronto’s Peacock Alley Entertainment for Canadian specialty channel VisionTV, the series sees professor, health expert and author Timothy Caulfield investigating the latest dietary trends and anti-ageing products to separate fact from fiction.
The six-episode first season debuts on Netflix on Sept. 28, while season two launches on VisionTV on Monday, Oct. 15 at 9 p.m.
In July, Sky Vision, the production and distribution division of European media co Sky, picked up the global distribution rights to season two of the show. Season one was previously picked up by international broadcasters in more than 60 territories, including SBS Australia, TV New Zealand, Societe Radio-Canada, Telefonica (Spain), DR (Denmark), BBC Worldwide, UR (Sweden), TVB (Hong Kong), S+ (Portugal), Ananey (Israel) and AMC (central Europe).
Cheating Death is exec produced by Peacock Alley founder Carrie Mudd and directed by Brent Hodge.
