Boat Rocker Media has hired Shannon Valliant to the newly created position of chief financial officer.
Valliant, who previously served in a number of executive roles at Rogers Communications, will report to Boat Rocker CEO John Young. Among her responsibilities, Valliant will be tasked with financial administration, financial and operational planning and corporate development support, as well as investor relations across Boat Rocker’s Studios, Rights, Brands and Ventures divisions.
The C-suite addition is Boat Rocker’s first since last November, when the company promoted Samantha Traub to chief operating officer and Michel Pratte to chief revenue officer.
During her time at Rogers, Valliant held the role of SVP, commercial strategy and also served as the company’s VP, financial operations. Prior to joining Rogers, she was the CFO at Nereus Financial.
“Shannon’s extensive experience and expertise as a senior financial executive come at a perfect time in Boat Rocker’s continued strategic growth,” said Young in a statement.
