Exec-level moves at Boat Rocker

Samantha Traub assumes the newly created role of COO at the Toronto-based company.

samantha traubBoat Rocker Media has created two key roles within its senior ranks, promoting Samantha Traub to chief operating officer and Michel Pratte to chief revenue officer.

In her new role, Traub, who previously served as the company’s SVP of business and legal affairs, will manage Boat Rocker’s production teams as well as overseeing its HR department. According to the company, Traub has played a key role in the recent acquisition flurry that has seen Boat Rocker acquire Peace Point Rights, Jam Filled Entertainment and Radical Sheep.

In addition to her new responsibilities, Traub will continue to lead Boat Rocker’s legal and business affairs team, and manage the company’s legal dealings.

Meanwhile Michel Pratte will lead Boat Rocker’s Rights, Brands and Ventures divisions in his new role, while also retaining his leadership of the company’s M&A and corporate development activities.

Pratte has led the expansion of Boat Rocker’s family and children’s division and also headed up the launch of Boat Rocker’s digital division and its corporate development strategy.

Both Traub and Pratte will be based in Boat Rocker’s Toronto office and report to CEO John Young.
