Production is currently underway in Montreal on Incendo’s latest TV movie, FANatic.

The film is being directed by Série Noire writer and director Jean-François Rivard and stars Breaking Bad actress Betsy Brandt.

FANatic follows a successful TV series actress who discovers her on-screen leading man and real-life husband may be cheating on her.

It is produced by Incendo’s head of production and development, Ian Whitehead, and president and CEO Jean Bureau, who also serves as executive producer. The film is being produced in participation with Bell Media. Also starring in the film are Canadians Benjamin Arthur (Working the Engels) and Katy Breier (The Calling).

While the Montreal-based prodco has been focusing on breaking into TV series, beginning with its Canada/France copro, Versailles, MOWs are still a priority. FANatic is the second Incendo film to go into production in 2016, with Serialized beginning production in mid-April. Production on the second season of Versailles is also currently underway. Season one of Versailles was recently acquired by Ovation TV and Netflix in the U.S.
