Roku orders festive rom-com Jingle Bell Love from Incendo

The film, starring New Kids on the Block's Joey McIntyre alongside Michelle Morgan, will premiere in Canada on CBC and CBC Gem in December.

Roku has commissioned Jingle Bell Love from the Toronto and Montreal-based production, development and distribution company Incendo, with CBC picking up Canadian rights.

The Christmas-themed Roku original is created by Daren Flam (I Met My Murderer Online) and Stefanie Black (Steppin’ Into the Holiday), and directed by Quebec-based Anne De Léan (The Christmas Checklist).

The film stars New Kids on the Block’s Joey McIntyre (The Heat) as a widower that returns to his wife’s hometown for Christmas and is matched with a local shop owner played by Michelle Morgan (Heartland).

Jingle Bell Love will debut on The Roku Channel on Nov. 18 in the U.S., while Canadians will be unwrapping the film on CBC and CBC Gem on Dec. 5.

Incendo’s Graham Ludlow, Kaleigh Kavanagh and Shari Segal are executive producers.

Incendo has previously produced originals for the Fox-owned streaming service Tubi, including a remake of the 1980 Harold Greenberg-produced Terror Train; its sequel, a horror first for Tubi; as well as the festive horror film Guess Who.
