Production underway on Killjoys season two

Ruba Nadda has joined the directing crew for the second season of the series.

Production is underway in Toronto on season two of Temple Street Production’s Killjoys, with Ruba Nadda set to direct an episode of the Michelle Lovretta-created series.

In addition to Nadda, whose previous directing credits include feature films Cairo Time and October Gale, Stefan Pleszczynski, Martin Wood and Grant Harvey will also join the directing team for season two of Killjoys. Returning to direct are Peter Stebbings and  Paolo Barzman.

The writing team for season two is lead by Lovretta, and is made up of  Adam Barken, Jeremy Boxen, Jon Cooksey, Julian Doucet, Sean Reycraft and Priscilla White. Stars Hannah John-Kamen, Aaron Ashmore and Luke MacFarlane will also return for season two.

The 10-episode Space original series will bow on the Bell Media specialty channel in 2016. Syfy has also picked up season two of Killjoys. The show debuted on Space in June to an average audience of 286,000 (2+) and was renewed for season two a week after its season one finale. The show earned an average audience of nearly 450,000 viewers in its timeslot throughout its run, which made it Space’s most-watched original series ever.

David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg of Temple Street executive produce the series alongside Karen Troubetzkoy, with D.J. Carson serving as producer. The series is produced by Temple Street Productions, in association with Space and Syfy.
