Rhombus Media’s Sensitive Skin is officially out in the U.S. this month, via an iTunes release strategy helmed by distributor Tricon Films and Television.

The 6 x 30-minute season, which stars Kim Cattrall in the lead role, launched on Friday with a free premiere episode.

Following its 2014 broadcast premiere, all six episodes of season one were released for on demand viewing on HBO Canada in July 2014.

Sensitive Skin has also been sold to Tele München Group Germany, Sky Arts UK, and Hot Telecommunication Systems Israel. In Canada, the show airs on The Movie Network and Movie Central. Rhombus produces the show in association with Baby Cow Productions, TMN and Movie Central. Tricon Films & Television is the international distributor.

The second season of the show was greenlit in December 2014, with production beginning in May of this year and wrapping in June. The show was subsequently nominated for an International Emmy Award in the comedy category. No air date has yet been set for season two.

The series follows the lives of Davina and Al (played by Cattrall and Don McKellar, respectively), an aging couple whose desire to stay young and relevant leads them to sell their family home and move into a downtown condo.

Executive producers on the series are Don McKellar, Bob Martin, Andrea Gorfolova, Jon Rutherford, Henry Normal and Hugo Blick, who is also the series creator. Niv Fichman and Sari Friedland produce the show alongside Cattrall.
