The gala honoured Jennifer Podemski, Rick Mercer and Don McKellar with the inaugural Norman Jewison Founder’s Council Award.
Several Canadian screen industry veterans were honoured during the Canadian Film Centre’s (CFC) 2025 gala, Growing Futures, its largest annual fundraising event.
The event, which took place at Toronto’s Four Seasons Hotel on June 12, supports CFC initiatives such as the Norman Jewison Film Program and the CBC Actors Conservatory.
As announced in May, Jennifer Podemski (pictured left), Rick Mercer (pictured centre) and Don McKellar (pictured right) were honoured with the inaugural Norman Jewison Founder’s Council Award. The awards were presented alongside a digital auction and live performances.
