The inaugural Playback Marketing Summit saw producers and marketers alike gather at Toronto’s Bram & Bluma Appel Salon to learn about the best ways to build buzz. The day also featured the Tweak My Plan pitch competition, where producers pitched their marketing plans for upcoming projects to a three-person judging panel of digital consultant Veronica Holmes, Felicity PR president Amy Laski and Grip Limited creative partner Randy Stein. The prize for best marketing plan included one-on-one consultations from the judges, which went to J. Joly for this marketing plan for Wolfcop 2. Joly, however, passed along the prize to Sean Cisterna to use to help develop the marketing strategy for his upcoming feature, Kiss and Cry. Any and Matt King of LaRue Entertainment also participated in the competition, pitching the marketing plan for the comedy feature Filth City.
