David Lancaster has yet to open the doors on his new film production shingle, Rumble Films, and has already inked a first look deal with Entertainment One.
Their exclusive multi-year arrangement will see eOne be first in line to finance and distribute all feature films produced by Lancaster’s company.
Lancaster, who launched Rumble Films after eight years as co-president of Bold Films, will also consult on eOne’s own productions handled through its global film production arm under Xavier Marchand, president, film production, and SVP Benedict Carver, based in eOne’s Los Angeles office.
Producer credits for Lancaster include the Sundance 2014 audience and dramatic jury award winner Whiplash, directed by Damien Chazelle, and Dan Gilroy’s Nightcrawler.
Lancaster will oversee production Eye in the Sky for eOne, working with original producers Colin Firth and Ged Doherty from Raindog Films.
The film starts shooting next month in Cape Town, South Africa.
