Distribution: eOne at MIP, Remstar, D360, Halfire

Toronto and L.A.-based Halfire announced today that U.K.-based Sky Vision will distribute its half-hour comedy Working the Engels, which is coproduced by Shaw Media and NBC. The series, which is currently airing on Global TV in Canada and is set to air on NBC later this year, will make its international sales debut at MIP in April.

Remstar

Remstar Films has picked up the Canadian rights for The Voices, directed by Marjane Satrapi (Persepolis) and starring Ryan Reynolds, Gemma Arterton, Anna Kendrick and Jacki Weaver. The distribution deal for the Canadian market was negotiated between Remstar and Panorama. Lionsgate holds the distribution rights for the film in the U.S.

marblemedia’s Distribution360 arm has acquired over 150 new episodes of factual and lifestyle content ahead of the MIPDOC and MIPTV markets. Distribution360 is now the exclusive distributor of original content from Si Entertainment for markets outside North America. Si Entertainment titles now in Distribution 360’s catalogue include Leave it to Bryan (91 x 30 minutes) and House of Bryan (29 x 30 minutes). In addition, Distribution 360 will represent new seasons of Leave it to Bryan and House of Bryan: In the Sticks, as well as yet-to-be-announced series from the production company. Distribution360 also acquired Tessa & Scott (7 x 30 minutes), produced by Media Headquarters. Other titles Distribution360 plans to bring to MIPDOC and MIPTV include Save My Pet (39 x 30 minutes), At The End of My Leash (78 x 30 minutes), The Skinny Dip (8 x 30 minutes) and Talent Hounds (1 x 60 minute special, and 4 x 30 minutes)

eOne’s MIPTV, MIPDOC slates

Entertainment One Television (eOne) has released their scripted slate for the upcoming MIPTV market, featuring new titles such as Turn (10 x 60 minutes), Halt & Catch Fire (10 x 60 minutes), The Red Road (6 x 60 minutes) and Matador (13 x 60 minutes). The company will also be bringing new seasons of a number of returning series, including Saving Hope, Hell on Wheels, Haven, Bitten, The Walking Dead, Rookie Blue, Mr. D, Seed, Rouge, Welcome to Sweden and the TV movie My Gal Sunday.

On the factual side, Entertainment One will head to MIPDOC with a slate that includes Close Up Kings (8 x 60 minutes), Shannon & Shopie (8 x 30 minutes), Cars That Rock with Brian Johnson (6 x 60 minutes), 50 Ways to Kill Your Lover (8 x 60 minutes), Cook Your Ass Off (13 x 60 minutes), One Night Stand with Annie Sibonney (6 x 30 minutes), Korean Mind and Body (10 x 30 mintues), and the CBC Doc Zone documentary Twin Life: Sharing Minds and Body.
