Ex-CTV exec Brad Schwartz to head up TV Guide Network

Brad Schwartz, who moved two years ago from Bell Media to head up Fuse in the U.S., has been tapped to head up TV Guide Network as president of entertainment and media.

Schwartz, a former senior vice president and general manager of MTV, MuchMusic, MuchMore and MTV2 for Bell Media, was chosen by partners CBS and Lionsgate to oversee programming, scheduling, marketing and creative operations for TVGN.
“This partnership is all about improving a property that has tremendous potential it has yet to realize,” said Leslie Moonves, President and CEO of CBS Corp. in a statement.

Schwartz replaces Mike Mahan, who departed as TVGN president in January 2013.

“I’m thrilled to join TVGN, a network backed by the programming and content resources of CBS and Lionsgate and available in more than 80 million homes,” said Schwartz in his own statement.
