Montreal-based prodco Zone3’s Le grand chantier Rona has been renewed for a second season on Bell Media’s Noovo.
The French-language renovation competition series, hosted by actor and comedian Marie-Lyne Joncas (pictured left), is currently casting 12 new couples that will split into two teams and compete by furnishing a fully renovated house over 10 weeks. At the end of the season, the winning couple also gets the house.
This season will take place in Sorel-Tracy, Que. and will have architect Daniel Corbin (pictured centre) and general contractor Pierre-Olivier Cantin (pictured right) returning as consultants and judges. The previous season took place in Ste-Julienne, Que.
Le grand chantier Rona was created by Marc-André Gauthier. The series will be broadcast on Noovo in 2025. It will also release on Crave and Noovo.ca.
Zone3 and Quebec-based home improvement company Rona previously worked together on the 2004 series Ma Maison Rona, which ran for seven seasons in Quebec on TVA. Two English-language series were produced as well, including the 2004 series Rona Dream Home, which ran for two seasons on Global, and 2009’s My Rona Home, which ran for two seasons on Citytv.
