Red Deer Press has signed Avi Federgreen to pen a book that explains the ins and outs of indie film production.
“I’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to share my experiences in independent production in a meaningful way,” Federgreen said Monday in a statement about his latest project.
The producer of One Week and Moon Point will co-write the book with occasional producing partner Robyn Bigué of Sir Harry Films, and is aiming for an audience outside of Canada.
Federgreen and Bigué have a slate of features in development.
Having opened his own indie distribution company, Indiecan Entertainment, last year, Federgreen’s latest film is Still, from director Michael McGowan, which is bowing in Toronto ahead of a tour of the festival circuit.
