Way Off Broadway to debut in February

Bravo! has announced that the curtain will rise for Way Off Broadway on Friday, Feb. 10 at 8 p.m.

Formerly titled Broadway Bootcamp, the 13-ep series follows 21 amateur community theatre players through eight weeks of auditions and rehearsals, lead by Sarina Condello, to become part of an ensemble cast performing The Wizard of Oz at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto.

Sheila McCarthy (Little Mosque on the Prairie) and veteran voice coach Elaine Overholt are set to make guest appearances.

The series is produced by Montreal-based Apartment 11 Productions, and was developed by Alberta Nokes, Carol Hay and Condello.

Jonathan Finkelstein executive produced, Leslie Fruman is series producer and Robin Johnston is production executive for Bell Media.
