Rogers sets initial programming for new suite of channels

The programming lineup features series from HGTV, Discovery and Food Network.

Rogers Sports & Media has unveiled the initial programming for its suite of channels launching on Jan. 1.

Rogers is set to launch five channels the new year from its Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) and NBCUniversal deals: Discovery, HGTV, The Food Network, ID and Magnolia Network.

All of the programming from the new linear channels will be available on streaming service Citytv+, which will include additional programming from streaming exclusive channels such as MotorTrend and the Cooking Channel.

For Discovery, Rogers kicks off its lineup with Expedition Files and The Last Woodsmen, both of which premiered in the U.S. earlier this year. The channel will feature new seasons of Homestead Rescue, Expedition X, Hustlers Gamblers Crooks and Moonshiners: Master Distiller. Also airing on Discovery are repeat seasons of Caught, Gold Rush, Big Little Brawlers and Outback Opal Hunters and special event programming such as Shark Week and Puppy Bowl.

HGTV will feature new seasons of Celebrity IOU, featuring Canadian TV personalities Drew (pictured left) and Jonathan Scott (pictured right); House HuntersHome TownFixer to FabulousMy Lottery Dream HomeMarried to Real EstateZillow Gone Wild; and Help! I Wrecked My House. The channel will also have repeat seasons from some of HGTV’s programming including Why The Heck Did I Buy This House?, Rico to the Rescue and Battle on the Mountain.

The Food Network will be offering new seasons of the competition series Chopped, Kids Baking Championship, Wildcard Kitchen, Spring Baking Championship and Beat Bobby Flay along with Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Guy’s Grocery Games.

The true-crime focused ID will feature new seasons of Signs of a Psychopath, Very Scary People, Murder Under the Friday Night Lights, Death by Fame, Body Cam: On The Scene and Evil Lives Here along with previous seasons of Real Time Crime.

New seasons of Maine Cabin Masters, Building Outside The Lines and In With The Old are set to premiere on Magnolia Network alongside previous seasons of Beachfront Bargain Hunt Renovations and Barnwood Builders.
