HGTV U.S. picks up another Canadian home design show

The W network lifestyle series Love It Or List It from Big Coat Productions has been picked up by the U.S. HGTV channel.

The deal by Australian distributor Beyond Distribution sees the U.S. channel acquire 52 hours of the series about homeowners choosing between renovating their home or being tempted away by a new property.

Production is currently underway for a fourth season of Love It or List It, which is hosted by Hilary Farr and David Visentin.

Scripps’ HGTV channel in the U.S. has been a major acquirer of Canadian-made shows, often made with sister HGTV Canada, including Income Property, For Rent, Buy Me and Junk Brothers.

Beyond Distribution also reported French Canadian channel Z-Tele has ordered another 30 hours of MythBusters, which debunks popular myths in the name of science.

The Beyond Television Productions show already airs on the Discovery Channel.
