A new deal between Toronto’s Phase 4 Films and prodco Take 5 Productions will see the former taking the home entertainment distribution series The Borgias and Camelot in Canada.

P4F will release season one of both series on DVD and Blu-ray this coming fall.

Both series will get their small screen debuts this year, with Borgias going to Bravo! in Canada and Showtime in the US next month. Camelot, meanwhile, will debut on CBC this fall, but will also see its US premiere in April on Starz.

The two companies had previously worked together on distribution of The Tudors.

Historical drama The Borgias stars Jeremy Irons and Colm Feore and is a Canadian-European co-pro, led by Neil Jordan (The Crying Game, The End of the Affair) and executive produced by Take 5’s John Weber (The Tudors, Camelot,), Sheila Hockin (The Tudors, Canada’s Next Top Model), James Flynn (The Tudors, Angela’s Ashes) and Neil Jordan.

Ten-part series Camelot is a modernized story of the classic King Arthur legend with Joseph Fiennes, Eva Green and Jamie Campbell Bower, co-produced between Take 5 and Octagon Films. It’s also executive-produced by Morgan O’Sullivan (The Tudors, Braveheart, Angela’s Ashes, Ella Enchanted) and John Weber (The Tudors, The Borgias). GK Films will distribute internationally.
