Decode Enterprises has signed a deal with PBS Kids Sprout to air its series Franny’s Feet. The 24-hour TV and webcaster will air episodes of the animated series — about a child’s adventures in her magical shoes — starting July 4. The run will start with a special Friday night slot before the show becomes a fixture on the channel’s weekend morning block.
Tie-in activities and games will also be offered at sproutonline.com once the show launches.
The broadcast, web and VOD deal is the latest in a string of deals for Franny. The series, which airs domestically on Family Channel, can also be seen in more than 150 countries, including Australia, France, the U.K., Japan and Singapore.
Toys and merchandise for the show are handled by Playskool, while a series of books is handled by Penguin.
‘This deal underscores the popularity of Franny with kids in the U.S. and internationally,’ said Decode EVP of production and development Beth Stevenson in a statement. ‘Her adventures continue to entertain and delight preschoolers and with strong partnerships in place, we are confident that the roll out of consumer products will prove just as appealing to her fans.’
