Crave has renewed the Letterkenny spinoff series Shoresy for a fifth season ahead of the Jan. 24 premiere of its fourth season.
The series, created by, written and starring Jared Keeso, is produced by New Metric Media, in partnership with Play Fun Games and in association with Bell Media. Keeso is an executive producer along with New Metric Media’s Mark Montefiore and Kara Haflidson. The third and fourth seasons of the hockey-focused comedy were directed by Dan and Sean Skene.
The series follows Keeso’s titular Shoresy leading the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs hockey team in the Northern Ontario Senior Hockey Organization. Production on the fifth season is set to begin this spring.
Shoresy is produced with the participation of the Canada Media Fund, Ontario Creates, the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund and federal tax credits. New Metric is the distributor and sales agent for the series.
The 6 x 30-minute fourth season of Shoresy will land on Hulu in the U.S. on Feb. 26.
New Metric is developing an official video game for the series with Toronto-based independent studio Treewood Games. Shoresy: The NOSHO will be an arcade-style role-playing hockey game and is scheduled for release later this year.
