With little help from his supporting cast, Oshawa, ON-born actor Jonathan Wilson’s performance in ‘Latte 911’ for Janes Family Foods secured the comedy spot top marks in the talent category.
‘Latte 911,’ produced by Toronto’s Industry Films through agency QVC Branding, depicts Wilson as a frustrated choreographer struggling to coordinate a cast of chickens. Aubrey Singer directed ‘Latte 911,’ with Caroline Gayler producing.
Wilson really chews the scenery on this one, after all he is working with fowl, and it is this over-the-top, camp performance that makes this spot’s comedy click.
In addition to commercial work, Wilson has acted in film, television and theatre and has recently focused his attention on writing for the stage, with several award-winning productions to his credit including My Own Private Oshawa and the critically acclaimed Kilt, which debuted in Toronto in 1999 and has since played at venues including The Directors Company in New York City.
Wilson has appeared in TV shows including Traders and Straight Up from director Jerry Ciccoritti as well as features including The Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy and Tommyboy.
