* Marni Wieshofer, ex-vp finance at Alliance Atlantis Communications who abruptly exited the company last month, has been named senior vp corporate finance at Lions Gate Entertainment.

Wieshofer ankled from aac on the same day it was announced that Roman Doroniuk, ex-Alliance cfo and Wieshofer’s former superior, had been appointed president and coo of lge.

Wieshofer, like Doroniuk, will be based in Toronto.

* At Alliance Atlantis Releasing, Rob McKenzie has been appointed vp sales and Jennifer Serbyn has been named director of sales.

* David Hamilton, a vp of Jones Brown & Associates Insurance Brokers, will manage the company’s new entertainment insurance brokerage office in Vancouver. A Vancouver native, Hamilton was for the past seven years an account executive for entertainment clients at Sedgwick Limited.

Toronto-based Jones Brown has affiliated offices in Winnipeg, Montreal and Halifax.

* Mike Forrester has been appointed director of business development at Holmes Creative Communications. Prior to his new post at Holmes, Forrester ran his own marketing and sponsorship firm, Forrester and Associates, and served as the vp of promotions at Livent.
