A strology and appetites come together as Gusto TV starts principal photography this week on a new original series that focuses on each of the 12 zodiac signs and their connection to food.

Hosted by chef Siobhan Detkavich (pictured), the 12 x 30-minute Dine Your Sign is produced in association with Bell Media and filmed at Gusto’s in-house studio in Ottawa.

The international food channel describes the series as an “astrological culinary journey” in which Detkavich showcases ways to cook for the various star signs. Gusto tells Playback Daily the series will likely air this fall on CTV Life.

Detkavich is a Kelowna, B.C.-based chef of Indigenous heritage who, at 21, became the youngest-ever Top Chef Canada contestant in season nine. She is also a chef de partie at Mission Hill Winery with honours including a third-place finish in the Skills Canada National Competition.

“This might be one of the wildest shows we have ever done,” said Chris Knight, president and CEO at Gusto Worldwide Media, in a statement. “It’s so fun, zany, full of astrology 411, and did I mention we’ve got an amazing host and tons of delicious food? It’s going to be cosmic!”

Gusto’s other recently announced series include Spice Secrets, which started production in February.
