Erica Proudlock is returning to the Canadian Film Centre (CFC) as the organization’s new executive in charge of programs and talent.
In her new role, Proudlock will work as part of the executive team for the CFC’s programs department to execute talent-development strategies, as well as the CFC’s film, TV, actor, music programs curriculum. She will work alongside chief programs officer Kathryn Emslie, and starts her new position on April 3.
Proudlock recently wrapped up a year-long contract working with Toronto-based talent agency Vanguarde Artists Management.
She previously served as manager of CFC’s program department for six and a half years.
She first joined the organization as its film program manager for the Cineplex Entertainment Film Program and later became involved in developing CFC’s Short Dramatic Film Program.
In her former role, she also supported the collaboration between the Cineplex Entertainment Film Program and the Actors Conservatory, managed the NFB/CFC Creative Doc Lab for two iterations, supported the Telefilm Canada Feature Comedy Exchange for one year and the Telefilm Canada Micro-Budget Production Program partnership (now called the Telefilm Canada Talent to Watch program) for two years.
