bms picProduction is underway on Dog Tales Rescue and Where To I Do? (pictured), the inaugural projects announced through the development and production pact unveiled by Bell Media Studios and GroupM’s content division Motion Content Group last month.

In September, the companies forged the partnership with the goal of creating linear, digital and social IP for international markets. Under the deal, Bell Media Studios will develop  and produce scripted and unscripted projects in-house, with Motion Content handling international sales.

The first of the projects, Dog Tales Rescue, goes behind the scenes of an Ontario animal centre (the Dog Tales Rescue and Horse Sanctuary), looking at how the 50-person staff cares for animals in need. Jennifer Couke and Michelle Crespi are exec producing for Bell Media Studios, with Melanie Darlaston exc producing for Motion Content.

Filming is also underway on Tommy Smythe-hosted design show Where To I Do? The unscripted series sees Smythe helping engaged couples find and customize their ideal wedding venue. Motion Content’s Martin Oxley executive produces the project alongside Couke and Crespi.
