Quebec-based media company Videotron has released an app that makes accessing its four-screen content via an iPad easier.

The app, called illico.tv, facilitates either linear or video-on-demand viewing of 40 television channels and thousands of hours of programming, in French and English. It was launched just before Christmas.

It can also be used to remotely program customers’ PVR or to view the full TV schedule.

The iPad offering follows similar product launches for both mobile handsets (illico mobile) and for computers and Android tablets (illico.tv website).

The app was built with the help of Nurun, a Québec company that develops multi-screen tools and applications.
