Former Corus exec Freeland moves to Rogers

Ex-Corus exec Claire Freeland has joined Rogers Media Television as director of development and production.

The former Corus exec will handle securing, developing and delivering original Canadian indie productions for the mediaco’s various assets.

“Claire’s breadth of experience in the industry, coupled with her strategic insights and significant knowledge of the ever-evolving Canadian programming landscape, make her the ideal fit for this role,” said Malcolm Dunlop, EVP of programming, Rogers Media Television, in a statement.

Freeland comes to Rogers with over 10 years in the industry, most recently serving as the director of original programming at Corus Entertainment, as well as looking after development and production of original Canadian content across its networks.

Previously, Freeland’s resume includes producing and post-supervising feature films, MOWs, docs and series for broadcasters and theaters.
