The Los Angeles-based distributor will handle films like Deepa Mehta’s Midnight’s Children (pictured) and Michel Gondry’s The We and The I on digital and cable VOD platforms.
The deal follows a string of similar output agreements by Lionsgate such as with StudioCanal in Germany, Nordisk Films in Scandinavia and Roadshow Films in Australia.
The feature film is being lensed in Vancouver until Nov. 17, and is the first British Columbia shoot by the Canadian Film Centre.
