Decode Entertainment has closed another deal for Franny’s Feet, having signed Rocket Licensing as the U.K. agent for the preschooler series. According to a statement released on Tuesday, Rocket has already closed a costume deal with Rainbow Productions in London, makers of life-size costumes for the likes of Lunar Jim, Paddington Bear and The Powerpuff Girls.
Decode EVP Beth Stevenson called the deal a ‘key step in building the licensing and merchandising’ of the Franny’s brand in the U.K. and Europe.
‘We think this is a great show which… combines wonderful storytelling but also has a strong educational aspect,’ added Rocket exec Rob Wijeratna, noting that the company hopes to close and announce other deals in time for the Brand Licensing Europe show, set for October in London.
Franny’s Feet airs on channels including Family Channel, PBS and Five in the U.K. In January, Decode struck a deal with Penguin Group and Simon & Schuster that will see the publishers turn out Franny’s storybooks, readers and activity books in 2008.
