Telefilm Canada has invested over $4 million across three French-language films in its latest round of financing through its Canada Feature Film Fund.
Receiving the most funding in this around at $2,050,000 is Votez Bougon, from director Jean-Francois Pouliot (Dr. Cabbie). Writers on the project are Francios Avard, Louis Morissette and Jean-Francois Mercier. Aetios Production is the producer on Votez Bougon. Confirmed cast include Antoine Bertrand, Remy Girard, Louison Danis, Claude Laroche and Helene Bourgeouis-Leclerc.
Pierre Greco and Nancy Florence Savard’s Mission Yeti received $950,000 in funding from Telefilm. The film was written by Greco and Andre Morency, with Production 10e Ave attached to produce.
Writer/director Denis Cote’s Boris sans Beatrice, produced by Metafilms, received $760,000 in financing. Confirmed cast for the feature thus far include James Hyndman (Trauma).
