Caroline Christopher joins Paperny Entertainment

Caroline Christopher has joined Paperny Entertainment as managing director and will lead the Vancouver-based prodco’s U.S. operations.

Christopher takes on the position following the departure of Paperny Entertainment EVP of U.S. programming Lynne Kirby, who left the company in December 2014.

Christopher will be based out of Paperny’s U.S. office in New York, and will oversee the financing, development and production of digital and television properties for both the U.S. and global marketplace. She will also be responsible for growing and selling the roster of Paperny’s U.S.-developed series. Previous TV properties developed out of Paperny’s New York office include 2 Fat 2 Fly, which bowed on OWN on Feb. 28, and Chow Masters, which aired on the Travel Channel for one season.

Prior to joining Paperny, Christopher held positions at Storyville Entertainment, National Geographic, NBCUniversal and ABC News.

Entertainment One acquired Paperny Entertainment in July 2014 to help bolster its presence in the North American unscripted market.

Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated Lynne Kirby left Paperny Entertainment in October 2014. While her departure was announced in October, she didn’t leave the company officially until December 2014. Playback regrets the error.
