Bell Media’s BravoFACT has handed out another $571,500 to 14 director/producer teams, including the latest short film by Falling Skies star Connor Jessup and fellow Canadian actor-turned-producer Michael Seater.
Among the latest BravoFACT fund recipients is Boy, written and directed by Jessup, about the ghost of a young boy exploring the world on the day of his death.
Jessup directed the earlier shorts Little Coffins and I Don’t Hurt Anymore!
BravoFACT also backed Flush, director Maisie Jacobson’s short about two best friends discussing life in front of a bathroom mirror, with Michael Seater (Life With Derek) producing.
There’s also Bell Media coin for writer/director/producer Dusty Mancinelli’s The Big Crunch; Boxing, by Aidan Shipley and Grayson Moore; director/writer Bryce Sage’s Cindy; and Patrick Adams’ Eden.
And BravoFACT has invested in Ron Murphy’s The Epitaph; writer/director Craig Wallace’s Friends Like Us; writer/director Erin Laing’s Green Eyed Monster; director/producer David Hyde’s In The Room; writer/director Eliane Gagnon’s Lost Ones; director/writer Blake Mawson’s PYOTR495; Shahzad, by writer/director Haya Waseem; and director/writer Alyssa Pankiw’s Stake.
