A71, Juice Worldwide pick up Pretend We’re Kissing

Ahead of the world premiere at Whistler next month for Matt Sadowski’s Pretend We’re Kissing, digital distributor Juice Worldwide has stepped forward at AFM to acquire the international sales rights to the Zoe Kravitz-starring romantic comedy.

A71 Entertainment has grabbed the Canadian sales rights.

Sadowski’s debut feature is produced by Peter Harvey, and executive produced by Mark Montefiore and Sean Buckley.

The film follows Benny and Jordan, two average people who have a whirlwind weekend romance.

Dov Tiefenbach plays Benny, a nebbish character who struggles to make a real romantic connection, while Tommie-Amber Pirie is Jordan, a girl hell-bent on proving magical love can exist.

Kravitz (Divergent, Mad Max: Fury Road) plays Autumn, an unemployed, bi-sexual hippy who is also a self-diagnosed agoraphobic.

The deal was negotiated during the American Film Market between Harvey, Juice Worldwide and A71 Entertainment.
