The SIM Group will open a new office in Parry Sound, ON at the Muskoka North Film Studios following a production boom in the Northern Ontario region.

The new SIM Group office, slated to open on Oct. 1, will offer services and production from each of the company’s operating units: SIM Digital, PS Production Services and Bling Digital.

In addition to operating an office out of the 8,000 sq-ft Muskoka North Film Studios, SIM Group will provide a number of services to the studio including support for grid and green screen setup.

The SIM Group office will be staffed by local residents, and SIM Digital will also extend its internship program to include schools in Northern Ontario.

Northern Ontario has seen a boom in regional production thanks to the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund and regional tax credit bonuses. Recent Northern-Ontario shot productions SIM Group has provided services for include October Gale, The Colony and A Very Larry Christmas.
