Search Engine Films has picked up the multi-year Canadian distribution rights to Pat Mills’ Guidance, after the film bowed at TIFF on Sept. 5.

Guidance was written and directed by Mills, who also stars in the film. The project was produced by Toronto-based Edyson Entertainment, and also stars Eleanor Zichy (Skins), Tracey Hoyt (The Cat in the Hat Knows A Lot About That!) and Zhara Bentham (Cracked).

The worldwide sales rights, including the U.S. sales rights, to Guidance were acquired by Andrew Herwitz, president of the New York-based Film Sales Company. The release dates for the film in Canadian and international markets have not yet been announced.
