Rebecca Forsythe, Ksenia Solo, Michael Ironside and German actor Lisa Tomaschewsky are circling Norbert Keil’s directorial debut Replace, a horror thriller being shopped this week in Cannes.

The film, a coproduction between Canada and Germany, will go into production in Toronto in fall 2014.

Replace is co-written by Richard Stanley and Keil, and is produced by A71 Productions, Sparkling Pictures and Ultra 8 Pictures.

Keil’s directorial debut follows a young woman with a strange skin disease who’s forced to make a choice when she discovers that she can replace her own skin with other woman’s and maintain her beauty.

Replace has Canadian financing and investment from the Bavarian Film Fund in Germany.
