The Movie Network, along with its siblings Mpix and Viewers Choice, have unveiled their new titles for fall, adding HBO’s vampire drama True Blood along with Little Britain in America and the Aussie import Summer Heights High.
True Blood, from Six Feet Under creator Alan Ball, is set in a world where vampires co-exist with humans by drinking Japanese-made synthetic blood, and stars Anna Paquin as a small-town barmaid who falls for one of the walking dead, played by Stephen Moyer. Little Britain is a spin-off of the popular BBC series.
The much-buzzed sci-fi series Sanctuary, a Canadian-made from the Stargate gang, will debut in October, followed by the Paul Gross-produced drama ZOS: Zone of Separation and playwright George F. Walker’s The Weight in early 2009.
The pay channels will also air new seasons of Entourage and Dexter, which for its third season sees Jimmy Smits join the cast.
