CBC/Radio-Canada has struck a partnership with mobile content provider Quattro Wireless to provide real-time, ad-supported news, sports and entertainment content through mobile phones.
Working with the Massachusetts-based company will let Canadians ‘use their phones to get the information they desire, while allowing us to stay connected to our audiences even when they don’t have access to us on radio, television, or online,’ says Bob Kerr, director of business development for CBC and its French sister.
The Ceeb’s new mobile sites offer advertisers local and targeted audiences on a mobile device. Quattro also powers and sells mobile advertising for other news sites such as CBS News, Cox Newspapers, The Street.com and Boston.com.
