CTV took advantage of the MIPCOM spotlight to announce a fifth season order for popular Canadian series The Listener.

The series will return next summer for another 13-episode run, bringing the series total to 65 episodes.

The Listener is produced by Toronto-based Shaftesbury in association with Fox International Channels. It is distributed by Shine International.

The Listener‘s fourth season earned strong ratings on CTV this summer, with an average of over a million viewers per episode – including a series high of 1.4 million – and a regular spot on BBM’s Top 30 list throughout the season.

CTV reports that the series also increased its A25-54 audience over season three.

The Listener stars Craig Olejnik as telepathic paramedic who uses his powers to help solve crimes.
