Scott Brothers Entertainment, the production company headed up by Property Brothers‘ Drew and Jonathan Scott, and their brother J.D. Scott, is expanding with the addition to Katie Ruttan Daigle to its exec team, part of the company’s growth plans into the North American market.

Executive producer Ruttan Daigle takes the position of VP development and production in the company’s factual entertainment division.

Ruttan Daigle, who produced the Property Brothers pilot, has worked on a range of national and international TV programming, with credits at networks like HBO, A&E, HGTV Canada and U.S., Channel 4, W Network and the CBC.

SBE in a statement said the company’s immediate objective is to focus on creating multi-platform factual content.

Separate from SBE projects, Drew and Jonathan Scott have built up the Property Brothers brand, starring in W Network series Property Brothers and Buying & Selling, produced by Toronto-based Cineflix Media, and upcoming series Brother vs. Brother for W Network and HGTV in the U.S.

SBE also founded The Producers Ball, the fundraising event that spotlights North American media producers.
