Sinking Ship’s Annedroids gets international broadcast partners

Sinking Ship Entertainment’s upcoming kids series Annedroids has secured multiple international broadcast partners, Toronto- and Vancouver-based Picture Box Distribution said Monday ahead of MIPTV.

Picture Box has brokered a co-production agreement with ARD + ZDF’s German-language kids’ channel KiKA. It also presold the series to SRC in French Canada and Sweden’s SVT. Amazon Studios has also optioned the series in the U.S. and U.K.

Annedroids, from Dino Dan producer Sinking Ship in association with TVOKids, follows a genius young scientist and her friends performing experiments in her junkyard lab.

The 26 x 30-min live action/CGI series is slated to begin production in May, for delivery in 2014.
