Cineflix Media’s U.K.-based distribution arm Cineflix Rights is expanding its third party content offering by hiring Kate Laffey as director of acquisitions.

“I’m really pleased to be joining Cineflix Rights, which has such a strong reputation within the industry and looking forward to working with producers and broadcasters,” Laffey said Wednesday in a statement.

Laffey will come over to Cineflix Rights from ITV Studios Global Entertainment, where she has worked as senior acquisitions executive.

There, Laffey acquired dramas, comedy and other scripted content, and non-scripted content from third party producers.

She also oversaw third party development and first look deals.

Joining Cineflix Rights on Feb. 4, Laffey will report to Noel Hedges, senior vice president of acquisitions.
