Pay TV network Super Channel has picked up Brett Morgen’s Rolling Stones doc Crossfire Hurricane (pictured), which it will air on Boxing Day (Dec. 26) at 9 p.m. EST.

The film, which aired on HBO in the United States in November, saw the filmmaker working with a library of more than 1,000 hours of film and 500 hours of audio. He was given access to outtakes from nearly all of the Stones previous documentaries, and also drew on more than 80 hours of new interviews with the band.

Talking to Playback sister publication realscreen last month, writer-director Morgen explained of the doc: “The Stones were known for appropriating rhythm and blues and creating something new out of the traditional music that they were inspired by. What I’ve done is appropriate all of these films to create something new in its wake.”

The worldwide distributor for Crossfire Hurricane is London-based Eagle Rock Entertainment, with Tremolo Productions and Milkwood Films the producers.

The exec producers are Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood; the co-executive producers are Joyce Smyth, Jane Rose, Sherry Daly; the supervising producer is Joanna Rudnick; the co-producer is Morgan Neville; and the producers are Mick Jagger and Victoria Pearman.
